The luxury of time with your provider, convenience, and direct access all carry significant benefits on the overall outcomes of pregnancy, birth, and well beyond the postpartum period.

The average bride spends $20,000 on a single day of her life. Parents spend $5,000 on braces so their child can have straight teeth. We encourage you to weigh the value of having personalized and empowering care for 9 months. Think about what it might cost you if you don’t get personalized, whole-woman pregnancy care.

Payment methods.

Pre-payment is required for all women’s health, ultrasound, and Sneak Peek test visits.

Payment plans are created for comprehensive home birth, hospital birth, and postpartum packages. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due at the 12 week first prenatal visit, then 50% is due at 22 weeks, and the remaining 50% is due at 32 weeks.

We are not in-network with any commercial insurance plans, however, most insurance plans do cover Certified Nurse Midwives under out of network benefits. Call your insurance company to find out if you are eligible for a reimbursement after the birth and what your coverage is, if you are unsure.

  • Insurances offering out-of-network coverage for home or hospital birth per your policy guidelines:

    -United Healthcare

    -Optima

    -Blue Cross Blue Shield

    -Cigna

    -Peidmont VA

    -Anthem

We will submit an out of network insurance claim on your behalf to your insurance company after you give birth. If you are due a reimbursement according to your out of network coverage and benefits, this will be provided to you in 3-5 months after the birth.

Please note that insurance companies don’t readily like to cover home birth services and many times the claim will be denied, and you as the subscriber of the insurance will need to follow up with an appeal.

We do not guarantee any reimbursements from your insurance company.

We encourage you to call your insurance company and ask them if they cover home birth with a Certified Nurse Midwife (CPT code 59400).
